For entry into Certificate and Diploma courses, prospective students are required to have an English Language proficiency. ITHEA will accept test results (with relevant test scores) from any of the following English Language tests:

*The TOEFL paper based test will only be accepted from limited countries.
** The Occupational English Test includes a mark between A and E. An A or B is considered a pass.
ITHEA may also consider any English Language tests taken in Australia.
The English Language proficiency test score is only valid for two years from the date of the test.
Note: For Early Childhood Education streams: A current Working With Children Check is required by all students. Application for this will be completed at the ITHEA Orientation.
For Aged Care streams: A National Police check will be completed prior to attending practical placement.
For Disability and Community Services streams: A current Working With Children Check is required by all students. Application for this will be completed at the ITHEA Orientation. In addition, a National Police check will be completed prior to attending practical placement.
